Pastor Tom Konz and his wife Cheryl, a newly retired school teacher, moved to Stephenville in 1998. Now in his 26th year of ministry, he served 12 years as a pastor in Fairfield and as a church planter/pastor in Mexia. He is the son of a former missionary to Nigeria, where he was born in 1952, and the fifth of seven siblings. After moving to the United States, he grew up in Eden,TX and finished high school in Marlin, before attending Tarleton State University to play football and earn a degree in history. After obtaining a graduate degree in the field of gerontology from UNT, Pastor Tom became a nursing home administrator, working as part of a multi-campus array of services to the aged inRacine,WI. He and Cheryl met and married there and were blessed with Bethany and Mary, who now live in Madison,WI, before moving to St. Louis to attend Concordia Seminary. Their son Paul was born during their vicarage year in Minnesota. Cheryl is a graduate of Concordia,Nebraska.
Pastor Tom very much enjoys the friendliness and can-do, cooperative attitude of the Faith congregation, and he is proud of the good work the members have accomplished over the years. He looks forward to Faith’s best years ahead.
