The Rite of Confirmation is the ceremony in which catechumens (those who study the catechism) take ownership of their faith and become individual members of the church body. At Faith Lutheran, this is a three-year journey from 6th-8th grade filled with learning. Adult confirmation is accomplished by one on one meetings with Pastor.
The three years of intense instruction are divided as follows:
- 6th graders go through Bible Survey with Bethany Espinoza on Sundays 9:45-10:30am in Room 8.
- 7th graders learn from the Catechism with Pastor Konz on Wednesdays from 5-6pm in Room 6. Their focus is on Law and Gospel, the Ten Commandments, and the Apostles’ Creed.
- 8th graders learn from the Catechism with Emily Lansmon on Wednesdays from 5-6pm in the FLY room. Their focus is on the Lord’s Prayer, Confession, and the Sacraments.
