Since 1995, our S.A.I.L. (Seniors Active in the Lord) organization has met regularly for an informal time to enjoy friends and food and, in addition, to become enlightened or entertained. S.A.I.L. has mostly retired members, but they always stress that meetings are open to all people from 5 to 105! On the first Thursday of the month, S.A.I.L. gathers at Good Tree Retirement Center for coffee and Bible study. On the third Thursday, members share refreshments and a wide variety of programs dealing with useful health information, films, travel slides, congregational information, etc. One of the organization’s ongoing projects is the updating of material for the children’s church bags, which are available to children during church services. S.A.I.L. has made bibs for the Faith School children and provided food for the FLY (Faith Lutheran Youth) group. Each meeting concludes with prayer needs and thanksgivings.
